Dong Nai City Police said that Thuan Loi Commune Police have just helped Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi (born in 1961) find his family after nearly half a century of being lost.
According to Dong Nai City Police, during the implementation of Project 06 of the Government, the Commune Police discovered that Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi was living alone in a rubber plantation in Thuan Phu hamlet. He had no personal papers, lived alone, had no relatives by his side and lived quietly for many years with incomplete memories.
Through working, the information Mr. Khoi remembered about his hometown and family was very vague. He only remembers his hometown in the area formerly known as "Xom Chu hamlet, Go Cong district, Tien Giang province" and lost his family in 1978 after a boat trip.

From the scarce information above, Thuan Loi Commune Police persistently verified and coordinated with local police to review relevant information.
By August 3, the police force had contacted Mr. Khoi's family. After comparing the information, the family confirmed that Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi was indeed a relative who had been missing since 1978. For nearly half a century, his relatives have never given up hope of searching, even though they once thought he was no longer alive.
After that, Mr. Khoi's relatives were present in Thuan Loi commune to welcome Mr. Khoi back to reunite after 48 years of wandering.
