On January 27, Steering Committee 327/Hanoi City Police organized a Conference to summarize the work of arrest and search in 2025, deploying directions, tasks, and key solutions for 2026.
According to the report on the results of wanted and search work in 2025 of Steering Committee 327/CATP, from March 1, 2025, when the Ministry of Public Security did not organize the district-level Police and the new commune-level Police model officially operated on July 1, 2025, Steering Committee 327/CATP promptly advised the City Police to issue leadership documents, directing key tasks, ensuring suitability with the actual situation of the Capital Police force; in which, specific work targets were assigned to each unit on the principle of compliance with regulations and in accordance with the area.
The summary report objectively, comprehensively, and comprehensively reflected the outstanding results that the units have achieved in the work of arrest and search to serve the work of fighting against all types of crimes.
According to the report content, Steering Committee 327/CATP also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations; analyzed and evaluated objective/subjective causes and oriented key tasks to be deployed synchronously, ensuring that wanted and search work achieves the highest efficiency in the coming time.
In the presentation, representatives of the Command Boards of units focused on analyzing the difficulties and obstacles in the management of subjects, especially subjects subject to prohibition from leaving their place of residence; verification and pursuit of wanted subjects in the grassroots area; the current situation of managing people convicted of imprisonment who are on bail, people who have been postponed or temporarily suspended from serving prison sentences, people enjoying suspended sentences, and released from prison before the prescribed time...
Units discussed lessons learned, proposed many practical solutions suitable to the actual situation of the area and field of work of each unit, thereby orienting a number of key tasks to improve the effectiveness of wanted and search work in the coming time.
Speaking to conclude and direct the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Duc Long - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police - emphasized: The summary report has stated 6 limitations in the work of arrest and search that need to be quickly and thoroughly overcome in 2026.
Colonel Nguyen Duc Long requested units to seriously absorb in the spirit of "self-examine, self-correct" and ensure systematization, fully grasp the directing opinions of the City Police leaders as well as the contents of presentations and comments of units at the Summary Conference.
The unit's Command team needs to quickly and urgently advise on measures to rectify and overcome shortcomings and limitations in the first quarter of 2026, as well as improve the quality of mobilizing wanted subjects to surrender, ensuring substantive implementation, avoiding formality and having actual inspection and supervision of this task - considering this as one of the criteria for evaluating the capacity and effectiveness of the command team and officers and soldiers.
In addition, one of the key tasks in 2026 is to continue to promote the application of science and technology in accordance with the national digital transformation task, effectively exploit the national population database, ID card data, electronic identification and authentication, professional and specialized databases; strengthen coordination in synchronously implementing professional measures to improve the effectiveness of wanted and search operations in the new situation.
