The conference was attended by Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, who attended and directed the conference. Major General Bui Quang Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the City Police chaired the conference. The conference was held as a meaningful activity of Hai Phong City Police to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Major General Bui Quang Binh, Director of Hai Phong City Police, affirmed that, in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh's teaching "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism must compete and those competing are the most patriotic people", in the past 5 years, despite many difficulties and challenges, under the direct and comprehensive leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the City Party Committee, the People's Council, the City, the City Police force has continuously strived to promote the tradition of solidarity, innovation, striving to achieve many feats and outstanding achievements in all fields, maintaining political security, ensuring social order and safety. Thereby, over 35,000 collectives and individuals of the City Police have been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and Hai Phong City...
Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau, on behalf of the city's leaders, acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements and feats of the city's Public Security force, and congratulated the typical advanced collectives and individuals honored at the conference. The Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that the City Police continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation, the Party's policies, and the State's laws and policies on emulation and reward work. The city police need to strongly innovate the content and form of emulation movements in a practical and effective direction, closely following the political tasks and assigned tasks.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of merit to the Director of CATP, honoring 80 typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the emulation movement "For security and order" in the period of 2020 - 2025; awarded certificates of merit to the Director of CATP to honor 20 typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the movement of the entire people protecting security and order, period of 2020 - 2025 in the city.
Major General Bui Quang Binh, Director of the City Police Department, officially launched the emulation movement "For National Security" in 2025 in the City Police, including 6 emulation contents and measures, and at the same time called on all officers and soldiers to continue to promote tradition, unite, compete to achieve feats, excellently complete the task of protecting security and order, for the peace of the city, for the happiness of the people.
