Gia Lai - A passenger bus collided with a motorbike at the intersection on National Highway 1A through An Nhon Dong Ward, causing 2 motorcyclists to die on the spot.

On July 6, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police said that on National Highway 1A through An Nhon Dong Ward, Gia Lai Province, a serious accident had just occurred, causing 2 people to die on the spot.

According to initial information, at about 4:40 a.m. the same day, a passenger bus with license plate 76F-001.58 driven by Mr. Le Hong Quan (residing in Tam Quan Ward, Gia Lai Province) traveling on National Highway 1A collided with a motorbike (license plate unknown) at the intersection.

The accident caused 2 people on the motorbike to die on the spot, including Mr. Huynh Tan P (born in 1987, residing in Hai Phong City) and Mr. Van Vuong H (born in 1964, residing in An Nhon Bac Ward, Gia Lai Province). The motorbike was completely burned down.

"At the time of the accident, the traffic light at the intersection was in flashing yellow mode (the traffic light was running slowly). However, both vehicles passed without looking when crossing the intersection, leading to a collision.

Currently, Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station has proposed that the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee adjust the signal system at this intersection, switching from flashing yellow light (from 0:00 to 5:00 a.m.) to green - red light to ensure traffic safety", said the leader of Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station.

Currently, the authorities are present at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
