In the common joy of the whole team when winning the championship, midfielder Pham Minh Phuc shared the secret to defeating U23 Indonesia. He affirmed that the success of U23 Vietnam is the result of careful preparation, not the tricks or special effects as many opinions discuss.
"Like the whole team, right from the start of the training camp, I was clearly aware of my sense of responsibility and national pride when I was chosen to wear the U23 Vietnam jersey. After a long journey and now achieving the results as today, we really feel worthy of those efforts.
Coach Kim Sang-sik and the coaching staff have carefully prepared a plan to deal with the throw-in of U23 Indonesia. Each position and task is assigned clearly and accurately. That is a real preparation, not at all tricks like some information spread on the internet.
That meticulousness combined with a bit of luck helped U23 Vietnam overcome Indonesia right on their field," Minh Phuc emphasized.
The young player of Cong An Ha Noi club also revealed about his future goals: "For now, if I continue to be on the training list, I will always try my best. Every time I am called up is a new experience and my teammates and I will try to give everything for the flag and shirt color".
