On June 28, Lao Cai Provincial Police informed that Ta Phin Commune Police had just coordinated with relevant agencies and units to support a citizen in the area to receive back nearly 500 million VND due to a mistaken transfer.
Previously, on June 16, Mr. Tran Chi Thanh (born in 1970, residing in Sa Xeng village, Ta Phin commune), in the process of carrying out bank transactions, negligently transferred the wrong amount of 499,999,999 VND to the account of a business in Ho Chi Minh City.
Immediately after discovering the incident, Mr. Thanh went to Ta Phin Commune Police to report and request support.
Upon receiving information, Ta Phin Commune Police guided citizens to carry out investigation procedures according to regulations, and at the same time proactively verified and coordinated with banks and related units to identify the account holder who received the wrongly transferred money.

To ensure the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, Ta Phin Commune Police have coordinated with Hiep Binh Ward Police, Ho Chi Minh City to verify, propagate, and mobilize account holders to comply with the provisions of law and return the received money.
With the close coordination of the police forces of the two localities and the support of the bank, the entire amount of 499,999,999 VND was returned to Mr. Tran Chi Thanh.
Mr. Thanh shared that at a time of anxiety because the mistakenly transferred money was of great value, the guidance, verification and timely coordination of the police force helped the family quickly receive their property, avoiding unfortunate damage.
