Hanoi - Hong Ha Ward Police promptly prevented a young man who intended to jump off Chuong Duong bridge and brought him back to his family safely.

Receiving a report from the 113 Police force, Hong Ha Ward Police (Hanoi) quickly arrived at Chuong Duong bridge, promptly preventing a young man from intending to jump into the Red River. After reassuring, caring for and stabilizing his spirit, the police force arranged officers and vehicles to take the young man back to his hometown safely.

Previously, Hong Ha Ward Police received an urgent report from Police Force 113 about a young man standing on the Chuong Duong bridge railing, showing unusual signs and intending to throw himself into the Red River.

Immediately after receiving the information, Hong Ha Ward Police sent a working group to the scene, quickly approached and persuaded the young man to leave the dangerous area.

The young man was identified as L.V.V (born in 2001, residing in Tan Pheo commune, Phu Tho province). V. came from his hometown to Hanoi to work. At the time of discovery, the young man showed signs of panic and unstable spirit.

After taking V. to headquarters, officers and soldiers of Hong Ha Ward Police continued to encourage, visit and listen to the difficulties that the young man was facing. After a period of care and reassurance, V.'s health and spirit gradually stabilized.

Through verifying the family circumstances, Hong Ha Ward Police found that V. was far from his family, and relatives could hardly quickly come to Hanoi to pick him up. To ensure safety, the Ward Police Command arranged officers and vehicles to directly take V. to his home in Tan Pheo commune, Phu Tho province.

During the movement, officers and soldiers continued to chat and encourage V. After many hours, the young man was brought home safely and handed over to his family.

Hong Ha Ward Police recommend that, when detecting people with abnormal, desperate or risky behaviors, people should quickly notify the police force and functional agencies for timely support and handling.

The incident also shows the timely concern, sharing and support from family, relatives and the community, which is important in helping those who are in a deadlock to overcome difficult times.
