Previously, at around 1:40 a.m. on November 25, Quang Ha Commune Police received a report from local residents about some fishermen fishing for snails in the local waters who had not yet reached shore when the tide was high, posing a risk of threatening their lives.
Immediately after receiving the information, Quang Ha Commune Police mobilized forces to coordinate with Waterway Police Team No. 3 - Traffic Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police and local people to search that night.
Approaching the scene encountered many difficulties due to rapid tides, strong water flows, and limited visibility.
After more than 3 hours of searching, at about 4:40 a.m. the same day, 2 fishermen were discovered trapped in the Co Ga - Ha Coi stream area.
At this time, the tide rose about 3.5m; both victims were exhausted, holding a stake tightly, marking the flow, their health was exhausted and there were signs of danger to their lives.
In case of an emergency, the working group quickly approached. Officers and soldiers went directly into the water, using life jackets and rescue ropes to bring the victim to the vehicle safely.
After that, Quang Ha Commune Police coordinated with the waterway traffic police to bring the two fishermen to shore, organize first aid and transfer them to Mong Cai 2 Regional General Hospital for further treatment.
According to initial verification, the two fishermen went to catch snails from around 1:00 p.m. on November 24, 2025. Because the tide rose rapidly and the terrain was unknown, they got lost and had to cling to bamboo stakes when the sea level rose.
Thanks to the timely presence and brave actions of the authorities, both victims have overcome the critical condition and their health is gradually stabilizing.
