On April 17, Dai Loc Commune Police, Da Nang City said - the unit has just supported Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi (residing in Thanh Hoa province) to receive back a large amount of money mistakenly transferred to the account of a stranger in the area.
Previously, at about 9:55 am on April 14, 2026, during a financial transaction, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi carelessly transferred the amount of 1.2 billion VND to the account of Mr. Ngo Van Trung (residing in Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city) instead of the actual recipient, Mr. Ngo Van Trung in Thanh Hoa.
Immediately after discovering the mistake, with extreme anxiety, Mr. Hoi contacted Dai Loc Commune Police for help. Upon receiving the report, the Commune Police force quickly deployed professional measures to verify the beneficiary account holder.
Officers and soldiers directly contacted and mobilized Mr. Ngo Van Trung (the owner of the mistakenly received account) to come to the headquarters to work. Here, after being explained and comparing information, with a spirit of honesty and high legal awareness, Mr. Trung immediately agreed to coordinate with the bank to carry out procedures to return the entire amount of money to Mr. Hoi.
Appreciating the enthusiastic and responsible support of the police force and the noble gesture of the people of Da Nang, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi wrote a thank-you letter to Mr. Trung and Dai Loc Commune Police. In the letter, Mr. Hoi expressed his emotion:
I am very happy and grateful to the police comrades for helping me get my money back conveniently. This is clear proof of the slogan "Serving the people" of the Police sector.
