Ho Chi Minh City offices get into gear with a new mindset

On the first day of officially returning to work after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday 2026, recorded in wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City, almost 100% of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers returned to work on the first day of the year.

Representatives of Vung Tau Ward People's Committee said that due to the specific characteristics of the tourist locality, the unit has arranged a duty schedule throughout Tet. On February 23, all civil servants, public employees, and workers returned to work, continuing to deploy tasks after the Tet holiday.

At Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee, all 64 officials, civil servants, public employees, and laborers were also recorded returning to work. After wishing Tet at the beginning of the year, leaders of the Ward People's Committee organized working sessions with departments to review and evaluate work during Tet, deploy weekly contents and tasks for March 2026. At the same time, review the preparation for early elections, preparation for military camps 2026 and other contents.

Also recorded at the Tan Son Nhat Ward Public Administrative Service Center area, the working atmosphere is serious, ready to serve people present to complete procedures.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Chuong, a specialist of the Tan Son Nhat Ward Public Administrative Service Center, shared: "We have started receiving applications and serving citizens from the 5th day of Tet. Although it is the first days of the new year, the number of people coming to transact is still regular. Our mindset is to work normally, regardless of being busy right after Tet to ensure that all requests from people are processed quickly.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a resident who came to complete procedures in Tan Son Nhat ward, excitedly said: "When coming here to work, the ward officials guided me very enthusiastically, and the procedures were resolved quickly beyond my expectations.

Promoting digital transformation in 2026

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh - Vice Chairman of Tan Son Nhat Ward People's Committee - shared that in the new year 2026, the ward's staff is always ready, determined to excellently complete the targets right from the beginning of the year. At the same time, the ward is also determined to promote digital transformation in resolving administrative procedures for people.

Mr. Danh said: "In 2025, the ward has achieved and exceeded all assigned legal targets. In particular, budget revenue reached an impressive rate of 113%. The contingent of cadres and civil servants always works with a service attitude, ensuring the implementation of policies for people in accordance with regulations and on time"... Stepping into the new year 2026, right on the first working day (7th day of Tet), the Ward Party Committee has thoroughly grasped the key tasks. Mr. Danh emphasized two key tasks in the first quarter of 2026 such as: Striving to achieve 100% of the military assignment target. Promoting the election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Councils at all levels.

It is also recorded that in the area of the Public Administrative Service Center of Nhieu Loc and Xom Chieu wards (HCMC) on the 7th day of Tet, a large number of people came to carry out administrative procedures.
