4,095 Ho Chi Minh City voters vote early on shore and in the middle of the sea on February 26th

Ho Chi Minh City - 4,093 voters in Phuoc Thang ward, Tam Thang ward and Long Son commune will vote early from February 26.

The Committee for Election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2026 - 2031 term has just issued a plan to organize early elections in 4 polling areas, mainly units of the armed forces and workers performing long-term duties at sea.

Voting area No. 1 (Phuoc Thang ward), with 451 voters being officers and soldiers of Naval Flotilla 128 and Naval Flotilla 129 (Navy Service).

The on-shore vote was held at the Headquarters of Naval Flotilla 129 Navy (No. 1451 30. 4 street, Phuoc Thang ward) with about 214 voters.

Voting at sea is for about 237 officers and soldiers on duty on 18 on-duty ships. The venue is in the entire sea area managed by the Command of Naval Region 2.

Voting area No. 2 (Phuoc Thang ward), with 394 voters belonging to Coast Guard Region 3 Command, Fisheries Surveillance Flotilla No. 2 and Standing Militia Flotilla.

The on-shore vote was held at the Headquarters of Fisheries Surveillance Team No. 2 (No. 1669D Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Phuoc Thang Ward) with about 85 voters.

Voting at sea is for about 309 officers and soldiers on duty in the sea areas bordering Vietnam - Indonesia, Vietnam - Malaysia, Vietnam - Thailand and Vietnam - Cambodia.

Voting area No. 3 (Long Son commune), with 450 voters who are officers and soldiers of DK1 Battalion, Brigade 125 and Naval Region 2 Command.

The on-shore vote was held at the Command of Naval Region 2 (Village 2, Long Son commune) with about 120 voters.

Voting at sea was conducted at 15 DK1 rigs and about 14 ships on duty at sea, with about 330 voters.

Voting area No. 4 in Tam Thang ward has 2,800 voters who are officials, employees of the Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro and contractors working at sea projects, oil rigs, and service ships.

According to the plan, the on-shore voting time in the areas starts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on February 26, 2026 (10th day of Binh Ngo Tet).

For area No. 4 (Tam Thang ward), the onshore voting time lasts from 7:00 AM on February 26th, 2026 to 7:00 PM on March 14th, 2026 to create conditions for Vietsovpetro officials, employees and contractors to exercise their voting rights before going to perform duties at sea.

After the opening ceremony and early voting on the shore, the election teams will deploy mobile ships to DK1 platforms, on-duty ships, and ships on duty at sea to organize mobile voting. The expected time for sea voting is from February 26 to March 14, 2026.

The election day for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term officially takes place on March 15, 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City has 13 electoral units for National Assembly deputies, with 64 candidates to elect 38 National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, term 2026 - 2031.

For the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, the whole city has 42 electoral units, with 208 candidates to elect 125 delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council of the XI term, term 2026 - 2031.
