On February 23, the contractor is urgently constructing the Binh Chuan intersection of the Ring Road 3 HCMC project section passing through Thuan Giao ward, HCMC (formerly Thuan An city, Binh Duong province).
The Binh Chuan intersection project started construction in June 2023. This intersection has a length of 1.3 km with a total investment of about 571 billion VND. The intersection is being constructed including highway access roads, bridges, and underpasses. After more than 2.5 years of construction, the shape of Binh Chuan intersection is gradually taking shape.
According to records, up to now, 114/114 drilled piles have been completed (reaching 100%); closed piles, retaining walls, and closed tunnel construction of branches C and D have reached 100%; 11/14 abutment platforms and pier bodies have been completed; currently, hollow box girders are being constructed, reaching 7/12 girders.
The highway traffic item has been compacted, and the main stone crushing layer has been constructed. Currently, the drainage culvert item is being constructed.
Notably, currently contractors are accelerating the construction progress of expanding My Phuoc - Tan Van road to connect with Binh Chuan intersection. Both sides of My Phuoc - Tan Van road are being expanded for a section of about 2 km from the intersection with Nguyen Thai Binh road to Thuan Giao 05 road. Technical infrastructure such as green trees, power lines, and water pipes here have been relocated. Contractors are constructing roadbed excavation, drainage culverts, compaction, and soil pouring. My Phuoc - Tan Van road through this section will be expanded from 6 lanes to 12 lanes.
Currently, at the roundabout point of Binh Chuan intersection, vehicles have been regulated to circulate to two branch routes to make way for the construction of abutments and overpass girders across My Phuoc - Tan Van road.
According to assessments, the progress of Binh Chuan intersection is slower than the set target. Since the beginning of 2026, contractors have arranged to increase shifts and increase crews to make efforts to accelerate the progress of this project.
