Reporters' observations at the construction site of Dai Ngai 1 bridge, crossing Hau river connecting Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces. Currently, contractors are urgently deploying many important items such as the main bridge, approach bridge, service bridge and approach roads at both ends of the bridge.

Representative of the Contractor of Deo Ca Group - at P23, one of the two main cable -stayed piers of Dai Ngai 1 Bridge is being built actively. P23 has 32 bored piles. After completing the first concrete pouring, the next pile will continue with the average schedule of 6 days/pile. Currently, engineers and workers are executing the stage 1, processing bored steel cages for the next items. For the main bridge P23 is expected to complete the pile drilling in early December 2025.

Regarding the approach bridge in Tra Vinh province, the contractor has constructed 10 bored piles. According to the plan, by the end of August 2025, the construction of piers P15 - P20 will be completed, aiming to basically complete the approach bridge in October 2026.
The service bridges that play a role in connecting materials transportation and construction on the river are also being actively implemented. The teams have completed the steel construction, reinforced frame welding, bridge deck construction and installation of protective railings. Construction is being carried out at spans from T30 - T82, with an average length of 12m per span.

The entire package mobilized more than 270 personnel, nearly 110 machines and equipment, deploying 17 teams. The total output to date has reached about 136 billion VND.

Mr. Ho Minh Hoang - Chairman of Deo Ca Group - assessed that the implementation work at the construction site basically meets the requirements. The safety of workers, property and equipment is focused on. The Executive Board strengthens propaganda, guidance and adds signs, rules and warning systems for workers to clearly understand and strictly comply with regulations. Periodically assess the capacity of cadres, engineers, workers and subcontractors to improve the quality of human resources.

According to Project Management Board 85 - Investor of Dai Ngai bridge project, the project has reached about 4% progress. The road has been organically peeled off and is being sand-filled.
The 15-XL package was implemented in early December 2024, including Dai Ngai 1 Bridge and the road leading to the two ends of the bridge, belonging to the investment project to build Dai Ngai Bridge. Dai Ngai 1 Bridge is longer than 3 km, of which the main bridge is 2.59 km long and 21.5 m wide. The bridge has a cable -stayed structure, 2 110m high A -shaped towers, is the second largest cable -stayed bridge in Vietnam after Can Tho Bridge. Expected to complete and clear technical traffic in June 2028.
The investment project to build Dai Ngai Bridge has a whole length of more than 15 km, including two main bridges across the Hau River: Dai Ngai 1 Bridge and Dai Ngai 2 Bridge connecting 2 provinces of Tra Vinh and Soc Trang. The total budget is nearly VND 8,000 billion. When completed, the project will help clear the entire Highway 60, helping the Mekong Delta provinces shorten the distance with Ho Chi Minh City about 80km.
