On social media, Segyung HiTech Company has just announced that it will fire a Korean employee who beat a Vietnamese girl in a photobooth in Hanoi.

Through Facebook, an article on the official page of Segyung Hitech Company based in Bac Ninh on July 16, Mr. Chun Sung Woog, legal representative of Vietnam (Segyung Vina) apologized to the parties involved in the case of two Vietnamese girls being assaulted by two Korean women in an automatic photo studio in My Dinh (Hanoi).

"First of all, Segyung Vina would like to express our sincere apologies to the Vietnamese Government, the Vietnam People, the Korean Association and all parties involved in the incident at the photography studio located in My Dinh, Hanoi on the evening of July 11" - part of the article posted.

The company confirmed the incident involving a Korean employee, currently working at a headquarters in Korea. During a working trip to Vietnam from July 9 to 14, this person and another woman assaulted two Vietnamese citizens.

Segyung Vina said that because the incident occurred outside of working hours and was only widely spread on social networks afterwards, the company did not have specific information until noon on July 14.

Immediately after receiving the incident, the company held an emergency meeting, contacted the victims, managed the location of the incident, and coordinated with the police to investigate and handle the case.

A representative of Segyung Vina affirmed: "We clearly recognize this as an unethical act, completely unacceptable, and goes against the company's business motto: comply with Vietnamese law, respect Vietnamese culture and accompany the development of Vietnamese staff and workers".

Segyung Vina, together with its headquarters Segyung Hitech, expressed their serious attitude and pledged to make the highest efforts to resolve the incident.

At the same time, the company also announced specific handling measures as follows: Sacking Korean employees for assault; Sending apologies and compensation for damages to victims in a full and good manner;

Issue a code of conduct when working abroad, applicable to all Korean employees of Segyung Vina and its head office, and organize periodic training sessions to prevent similar incidents; Actively coordinate with the Vietnamese government to investigate the cause and prevent recurrence of incidents.

"We would like to express our most sincere apologies to the victims as well as the Vietnamese people for this serious incident. Segyung Vina is committed to striving to build a sustainable cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea, in the spirit of companionship, mutual support and mutual respect" - the announcement stated.

Regarding the incident, many Korean media channels have previously continuously reported. Many Korean accounts expressed disappointment in the actions of the two female compatriots.

Previously, the incident occurred on the evening of July 11 at an automatic photo studio with a branch in My Dinh, Hanoi. Images recorded by the camera show that the two Vietnamese girls were taking photos but were grabbed by two Korean women standing outside and attacked.

The incident sparked outrage, not only about the violent behavior but also about the behavior of the two Korean tourists, but also the way the people involved handled it.
