On January 24, the Traffic Police Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that after more than 1 month of implementing peak crime prevention and control on traffic routes (from December 15, 2025 to January 20, 2026), through patrol and control work, the Provincial Traffic Police force has detected 3,667 cases of traffic order and safety violations.
The total amount of penalties is expected to be more than 9.183 billion VND; revoked and deducted driver's license points in 731 cases; temporarily seized 911 vehicles of all kinds.
In the process of performing their duties, the traffic police force in coordination with relevant units discovered 2 cases of transporting prohibited goods, including cigarettes, arrested 2 subjects, and seized 14,565 packs of cigarettes of various types.
Notably, traffic police and functional forces have discovered 18 cases showing signs of law violations. In which, successfully dismantled a specialized case of buying and selling, using fake diplomas and professional certificates, arresting 2 subjects.
In addition, 2 cases of illegal drug transportation were detected, 2 subjects were arrested, and 1,999 synthetic drug pills were seized.
Functional forces also discovered 4 cases of transporting goods of unknown origin, seizing 7,000kg of sugar and 2,000 electronic devices; 4 cases of transporting and illegally exploiting minerals, seizing 25.3m3 of sand; 1 case of transporting illegal fireworks, seizing 22 boxes; 1 case of using fake papers; 1 case of transporting wild animals, seizing 4 hedgehogs. In addition, functional forces mobilized to recover 4.25kg of explosives.
In parallel with patrol and control work, the traffic police force continues to promote propaganda and dissemination of laws on traffic order and safety and crime prevention and control in many forms such as organizing conferences, distributing leaflets, and signing commitments.
Propaganda activities focus on long-distance drivers, transport business drivers, people in rural, mountainous and border areas, contributing to raising awareness of law compliance and vigilance of people during Tet.
