Implementing the peak plan of propaganda, inspection and handling of students and parents who violate traffic order and safety regulations, in February 2026, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police and commune-level police discovered and handled 1,406 cases of students violating road traffic order and safety.
The entire list of violations has been sent to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training for coordination in rectifying, requesting schools and families to take timely management and education measures, contributing to raising students' awareness of complying with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety.

According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, through monitoring and assessment, the situation of students violating traffic order and safety in the city has had positive changes.
Common acts such as driving motorbikes and motorcycles when not meeting the conditions; not wearing helmets; carrying more people than prescribed in the school gate area have decreased significantly. The awareness of parents complying with traffic safety laws picking up and dropping off their children has also been raised, contributing to ensuring safety for school-age children.
However, statistics from January 15, 2026 to February 14, 2026 show that the situation of students violating is still at a high level, mainly concentrated in high school and continuing education.
Some schools have a large number of violating students, such as: My Dinh High School (49 cases), Ha Thanh High School (35 cases), Phan Huy Chu High School (26 cases), Xuan Dinh High School (14 cases), Nguyen Hue High School (12 cases), Construction College (13 cases), Lam Hong High School (10 cases)...

Along with strengthening patrols and handling violations, in February 2026, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department coordinated with commune-level police to organize 20 propaganda sessions and guide safe motorbike and electric motorbike driving skills for 15,668 students at high schools and vocational education institutions in the area, reaching about 16% of the city's high schools.
In the coming time, in order to continue to improve the effectiveness of implementing Directive No. 31 of the Prime Minister and the plan of the Hanoi People's Committee on ensuring traffic order and safety for school-age children, the Hanoi City Police will continue to closely coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to promote propaganda and dissemination of laws on traffic safety in schools.
At the same time, functional forces will strengthen patrols, inspections and strictly handle violations among school-age children, in order to prevent traffic accidents and build a safe and civilized traffic environment for the young generation of the Capital.
