On April 3, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province said that it is implementing a general review of dump trucks and semi-trailers with a tonnage of 15 tons or more. This is an important solution to tighten vehicle management from the root, limiting the situation of extending the cargo boxes and carrying overload.
Through inspection by the coordinating force between the Traffic Police Department and the Ward Police, the vehicles basically met the requirements.
In addition to checking papers, functional forces are measuring the size of the truck bed, checking signs of conversion; and reviewing the installation of journey monitoring devices and cameras according to regulations.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Thanh Hieu - Deputy Head of Bac Gianh Ward Police, there are 127 vehicles under inspection in the area. Functional forces will conduct a comprehensive review, from the size of the truck bed, horn system to journey monitoring equipment. Violations will be required to be remedied; re-violations will be handled according to regulations.
Statistics show that Quang Tri province currently has 1,371 dump trucks and dump semi-trailers. According to the plan, by April 25, the traffic police force will coordinate with the police of communes and wards to complete the general review. Right on the first day of deployment, more than 100 vehicles were inspected.
In parallel with actual inspection, functional forces conduct verification of vehicle owner information, drivers, ownership status and lifespan; guide completion of procedures for cases that have not been transferred or changed owners.
Lieutenant Colonel Truong Chi Dung, Head of the Vehicle Registration and Management Team (Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police) said that the force maintains 24/24 hour duty, ready to check even at night to create conditions for businesses.
This general review of heavy-duty vehicles is identified as an important solution to improve the efficiency of state management in the field of transportation.
With the coordination of functional forces and businesses, vehicle management in Quang Tri is gradually becoming systematic, contributing to ensuring sustainable traffic safety.
