"Vehicles that stop and park on the highway are at risk of causing accidents. In particular, the Mai Son - National Highway 45 highway only has 2 lanes, so when a damaged vehicle has to stop, it takes up 1 lane, causing traffic insecurity.
As soon as we receive the information, the traffic police will quickly be there to provide timely support, regardless of day or night," said Lieutenant Colonel Pham Duc Dong - Deputy Head of the Department of Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance.
From the above reality, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Duc Dong recommends that each driver and transport business unit needs to check the technical safety of their vehicle before participating in traffic, especially before entering highways.
At the same time, it is necessary to maintain the vehicle periodically, check the tires regularly to promptly repair and replace tires if worn.

When a vehicle has a problem (running out of gas, flat tire, broken down vehicle...), the driver needs to pay attention, turn on the turn signal, try to slowly move the vehicle out of the roadway lane by lane until it is close to the right side of the roadway or the emergency lane (if any), and turn on the warning signal.
