On the morning of April 24, the authorities of Ward 6 (Da Lat City, Lam Dong) are actively searching for Mr. Hoang Thanh (80 years old, residing on Hai Ba Trung Street, Ward 6) who was swept away by strong water on the afternoon of April 23.
Previously, at around 2:40 p.m. on April 23, during heavy rain, the water of To Ngoc Van stream flowing through the area rose high, Mr. Hoang Thanh unfortunately slipped and fell into the stream, being swept away by the water.
An environmental sanitation worker witnessed the incident but could not be rescued due to the strong water flow.
Upon receiving the report, the police of Ward 6, Da Lat City coordinated with relevant forces and the victim's family to search along To Ngoc Van stream towards Cam Ly waterfall and Lam Ha district. The victim has not been found yet.
In recent days, Da Lat city has seen early-season rain. Some areas often have local heavy rain, water in low-lying areas, raised ditches and fast-flowing water, affecting crops and endangering people.
