On the morning of March 15, voters in Quang Tri province came to the polling stations to exercise their rights and citizens' obligations in a solemn and joyful atmosphere.
From early morning, many voters were present at the polling station to learn about candidates and carry out voting steps in accordance with regulations.
Notably, voter Duong Thi Sao (resident of An Nhon village, My Thuy commune), although 109 years old, still directly went to the polling station to participate in the election. The image of Mrs. Sao being supported by relatives to the polling area has attracted the attention of many voters present here.
Relatives of Mrs. Sao said that despite her old age, weak health and many difficulties in traveling, she still expressed her desire to personally vote to exercise her citizenship.
Ms. Sao participated in voting in area No. 4, constituency No. 2 of My Thuy commune, where 396 voters participated in the election. A special point in this constituency is that before 3 am from the opening, 100% of voters had come to vote.
At polling station No. 15, Kim Nai village, Truong Ninh commune, Mr. Tran Cong Tha (born in 1923), 103 years old this year, also came to the voting area himself in the joy of the all-people festival. Mr. Tran Cong Tha has 70 years of Party membership, has participated in many elections, and every time he holds the ballot in his hand, he entrusts his trust to the delegates he trusts.

According to the Quang Tri Provincial Election Commission, on the morning of March 15, there were also many voters over 100 years old attending the opening ceremony and directly voting in the locality. In the voting area No. 12 in Bo Trach commune, there were Ms. Do Thi Diem and Ms. Nguyen Van Chat; in the voting areas No. 5 and 31 in Phong Nha commune, there were Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa and Ms. Le Viet Bach...
Despite their old age and weakness, hundred-year-old voters still want to hold their ballots in their hands to choose cadres with virtue and talent, contributing to making important decisions for the country. The image of the elders personally voting also becomes a role model of responsibility, reminding the young generation of civic consciousness on the great festival of the whole people.
