On the afternoon of January 27, representatives of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security said that the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police has issued a decision to fine driver N.V.H (residing in Hanoi) for the act of driving a vehicle with a license plate with unclear letters and numbers.
Previously, at about 10:30 am on January 26, Mr. H was driving a car with license plate 30M-246.XX on National Highway 32. When arriving in the area of Dan Phuong commune, the task force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 9 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department stopped the car for inspection, discovering that the license plate behind was covered with mud and soil, not ensuring identification conditions.
At the time of working, the driver said that this act was only fined 900,000 VND, so he requested functional forces to make a record and record a clip to post on social networks.

Until the morning of January 27, working at the police headquarters, Mr. H admitted that 4 days earlier he had driven a car to Thanh Hoa, encountered heavy rain causing mud and soil to cling to the rear of the car. Although he knew the license plate was covered, he was busy with work so he did not have time to clean it.
After being explained by functional forces with legal regulations, the driver became aware of the violation.
For the above violation, Mr. H was fined 23 million VND and 6 points of driver's license were deducted.
Representatives of the Traffic Police Department said that functional forces do not punish cases of dusty license plates in a short time, objectively.
However, in cases where mud and soil have been clinging for a long time, vehicle owners intentionally do not clean up, causing obstruction to management and handling of violations, they will be strictly handled according to regulations.
