Hanoi - Functional forces continuously discover, enforce, and barricade construction material gathering wharves along the river.

On the evening of September 16, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police said that the unit is strengthening patrols and inspections on inland waterway routes, focusing on handling vehicles equipped with pumping and suctioning equipment for sand and gravel, transporting construction materials and illegal wharves and yards.

Previously, on September 14, Riverine Police Team No. 1 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department coordinated with Trung Gia Commune People's Committee to organize coercion, plant concrete stakes and fence off the entrance and exit of an unlicensed wharf.

The above measure aims to terminate the illegal loading and unloading and gathering of goods, and at the same time prevent the station from continuing to operate after being inspected and handled.

This is the 5th unlicensed wharf in Trung Gia commune to be organized for coercion and barricades.

According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, to date, unlicensed wharves in Trung Gia commune have been handled and terminated, contributing to enhancing the efficiency of riverside land management, waterway wharf operations and transportation of goods by waterway vehicles.

In addition to inspection and handling of violations, the Riverine Police force continues to propagate and request businesses, wharf owners, vehicle owners, crew members and vehicle drivers to strictly comply with the provisions of law.

In which, focus on checking vehicle registration certificates; technical safety and environmental protection certificates; certificates of professional capacity, professional certificates of crew members and vehicle drivers; compliance with safe draft markings and regulations on vehicle renovation and conversion.

For vehicles equipped with sand and gravel pumping and suction equipment, functional forces check operating conditions, technical condition and origin of equipment.

Cases of arbitrary installation and conversion not in accordance with regulations are filed for handling; at the same time, vehicle owners are required to dismantle equipment, restore the original state and conduct inspection according to regulations.

In the inspection of vehicles transporting construction materials and filling materials, the Riverine Police also focus on clarifying the origin of goods, in addition to checking the safety conditions of vehicles.

Cases where legal invoices and documents cannot be presented or show signs of being related to illegal mineral exploitation, gathering, and consumption are verified and handled according to regulations.

In the coming time, we will continue to coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to maintain management, inspection, and handling of violations on inland waterways.

Thereby, proactively preventing and not allowing the formation of illegal mineral exploitation, gathering, and transshipment points, contributing to ensuring order, traffic safety and social order in the area," said a representative of Riverine Police Team No. 1.
