On November 4, Trieu Van Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command) confirmed that units had just coordinated to rescue fishermen and a fishing boat that had been sunk by waves.
Earlier, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, Trieu Van Border Guard Station discovered that the boat was moving to Nhat Tan beach (Trieu Lang commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province) and was sunk by waves.
The border guards organized a rescue and brought the fisherman on the boat, Mr. Tran Quang (residing in Trieu Lang commune) safely to shore.
After reporting to the local authorities, Trieu Van Border Guard Station coordinated with the police force and militia of Trieu Lang commune to rescue and bring the boat and fishing gear ashore, avoiding damage to the fishermen.
It is known that at the time of the accident, Mr. Tran Quang was going ashore after fishing when it started to rain heavily.
