On the 5th day (July 7 local time) searching for victims on the ground, the Vietnamese Rescue and Relief Team continued to be divided into many teams to deploy search and rescue work in different time frames.
With high determination, not letting go of any valuable information during the search process, the Team assigned shifts to deploy overnight search operations.
From yesterday (July 7 local time), the Team assigned to work according to many time frames, with the spirit of racing against time and putting search efficiency above all else. In the night, when one team just arrived at the barracks, another search team also immediately set off.
At about 3 am (July 4, local time), as soon as they received information that they needed support in rescuing victims who were still alive, the Vietnamese Rescue and Relief Team sent the Ministry of Public Security's Rescue and Relief Team to immediately set off.
The scene is the Orion building located on Playa Avenue, Carabello neighborhood, Guaira state, which has collapsed almost completely. According to reports, there are still signs of life trapped here. The team immediately deployed plans to locate and rescue the victims overnight.
Overcoming difficulties in terrain, the soldiers used radar for detection and appropriate mechanical equipment to approach the victims. However, after more than 5 hours of searching, a miracle did not happen.
According to information from the Ministry of Public Security, as a result on July 4, the Vietnamese rescue team removed 9 more victims' bodies. In total, after 5 days of searching, the team removed 54 bodies and accurately identified the locations where many bodies were still trapped.
During the search and rescue process, the Vietnamese delegation also took advantage of the time to support local people who are facing difficulties around their search area.
Tomorrow (July 5, local time), the Vietnamese delegation will continue the search and rescue work as planned.
