At about 8:15 am on April 2nd, after a prolonged heavy rain in the night, a large rock suddenly rolled from the top of the mountain down to the yard of Co Ma commune headquarters, emitting a loud explosion that panicked officials and civil servants who were working.
Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties, but the rock pierced the corrugated iron roof of the parking garage and heavily damaged a public car of the commune.

Talking to PV, Mr. Ly A Chu - Chairman of Co Ma Commune People's Committee said: "Immediately after the incident occurred, the commune sent forces to inspect the mountainside area above the headquarters to assess the level of danger. Through review, the risk of rock rolling still exists, especially in prolonged rain conditions.
According to Mr. Ly A Chu, the situation of rocks rolling down the headquarters area occurs during the annual rainy season. "Previously, it was mainly small rocks, but this year many larger rocks have appeared, posing high risks. The commune is proposing a plan to reinforce, warn and may relocate some items if necessary," Mr. Chu informed.
