Da Nang transfers mineral and geological management to the Ministry of Industry and Trade

Da Nang - Transferring functions, tasks, organizational structure and staff to perform state management tasks on geology and minerals to the Department of Industry and Trade.

On the afternoon of September 16, the Da Nang Department of Home Affairs organized a conference to announce decisions on organizational structure and personnel work. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Thai Binh attended and presented the decisions.

According to Decision No. 4139/QD-UBND dated September 14, 2026, the City People's Committee transferred the functions, tasks, organizational structure and staffing to perform state management tasks on geology and minerals from the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Construction to the Department of Industry and Trade.

The Department of Industry and Trade receives the task of state management of minerals for construction materials and mineral mines from the Department of Construction. At the same time, this Department receives the task of state management of geology and minerals from the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

The Mineral Department under the Department of Agriculture and Environment was transferred in its entirety to the Department of Industry and Trade along with 11 civil servants. The handover of functions, tasks, dossiers, documents and related contents is required to ensure smooth state management activities and administrative procedure resolution.

The Department of Home Affairs is assigned to carry out procedures to transfer 8 civil servants to perform state management tasks on geology and minerals from the Department of Agriculture and Environment to the Department of Industry and Trade.

On the same day, the Department of Home Affairs announced Decision No. 4164/QD-UBND dated September 15, 2026. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Hong An, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, was transferred to the Department of Industry and Trade and appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade. The term of appointment is 5 years, from September 15, 2026.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Thai Binh requested the Department of Industry and Trade to urgently consolidate the organization, clearly assign tasks, arrange Mr. Nguyen Hong An to be in charge of geology and minerals and soon consolidate the professional department.
