Da Nang - Landslides threaten arooi residential area, Hung Son commune, Da Nang authorities have declared an emergency situation.

On October 29, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Pham Duc An signed Decision No. 2243 declaring a natural disaster emergency for the landslide area in arooi village residential area, Hung Son commune (in Tay Giang district, old Quang Nam province).

According to the assessment, this area is at high alert level, with a serious risk of landslides, directly threatening 2 households, affecting more than 13 surrounding households, 1 Gool house (community activity point) and a national defense road, causing difficulties in travel.

Faced with the risk of landslides spreading, seriously affecting people's lives and property, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City directed the immediate implementation of temporary measures to prevent complicated developments, protect the safety of residents and essential infrastructure works.

The People's Committee of Hung Son commune was assigned to preside over and mobilize forces, vehicles and resources to evacuate and urgently relocate people from dangerous areas, ensure logistics at evacuation sites, and at the same time put up warning signs, block off risk areas, and arrange 24/7 security forces.
