On October 28, information appeared on social networks "landlides buried entire villages in Tra Leng commune (Da Nang), causing many people to worry. However, the local government has completely denied this information, affirming that this is untrue news.
Mr. Chau Minh Nghia - Chairman of Tra Leng Commune People's Committee said that through verification, today, there was only a landslide in village 1, causing two houses to be buried, with no casualties.

"There is no such thing as the whole village collapsed as some websites posted. On the other hand, local authorities have proactively evacuated people from dangerous areas before the landslide occurred" - Mr. Nghia affirmed.
One of the two buried houses in village 1 belongs to Mr. Ho Van Linh - Commander of the Tra Leng Commune Military Command. The hill behind suddenly collapsed in the early morning of October 28, burying the entire house and property.

According to the people, at around 4am, they heard a loud explosion like thunder, the ground shook, then discovered that the two houses of Mr. Ho Van Linh and Mr. Ho Van Len were buried by rocks and soil.
Fortunately, thanks to the authorities' proactive evacuation in advance, no one was injured or killed.
Mr. Nghia said that for many days, Mr. Linh has been a member of the Commune Civil Defense Command, always at the forefront of natural disaster prevention.
"Mr. Linh was very dedicated, many days in a row, he and the militia crossed the forest in the Tra Leng 2 area to grasp the situation of more than 600 isolated households. Although my house is at risk of landslides, I still stay to help the people" - Mr. Nghia said emotionally.

Currently, the Tra Leng commune government has organized visits and initial support for Mr. Linh and affected households, and sent forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor the flood situation, ensuring the safety of the people.
Tra Leng commune police also advise people not to share or believe in unofficial sources to avoid causing confusion. All information about floods and landslides will be officially and promptly updated by the Commune People's Committee and the Commune Police on local information channels.
During the flood in 2020, Tra Leng commune suffered a terrible landslide that killed, left thousands of people missing, buried villages and houses. Since then, authorities at all levels have implemented many response measures, arranged residents, relocated thousands of people from landslide areas, and stabilized their lives.
