On February 18, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that it had issued a document responding to voters' opinions reporting the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly. According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, the research and proposal to invest in drainage infrastructure and canals to prevent flooding in Lien Chieu District has been studied and there are proposed plans to invest in drainage infrastructure to increase drainage for this area.
In particular, Da Nang has proposed a number of main drainage solutions with drainage to the river and bay of Da Nang such as the main drainage line along Tran Dinh Tri Street, the sewer line from Phung Hung Street to Da Nang Bay to reduce the load on Phu Loc River, limit flooding in Hoa Khanh Bac and Hoa Khanh Nam wards of Lien Chieu District, the drainage line from Khanh Son landfill to Hoa My Canal, and cover the open canal about 500m long in the Hong Thai - Tan Trao road area.
At the same time, build a new and renovate the drainage system in Lien Chieu district - the canal from Bau Tram lake to Hoa Khanh - Cu De canal, renovate Phu Loc canal and basin from Trung Nghia lake to Phu Loc canal, renovate the Hoa My canal system, Da Co bridge towards Phu Loc canal, Khe Can 2 culvert, build a new, upgrade, renovate the drainage system, landscape of Thanh Vinh mountain area and along Road No. 4 of Hoa Khanh Industrial Park...
To date, a number of projects have been approved by competent authorities for investment policies and implemented to establish investment projects for construction works. Especially for the section from Khanh Son landfill to Da Co bridge (the drainage route from Khanh Son landfill to Hoa My canal) The City People's Committee has assigned the (Construction Investment Project Management Board) of the Da Nang Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to study and propose an investment policy. However, the proposed plan of the Project Management Board is not in accordance with the plan.
In the coming time, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City said that it will urge the Project Management Boards to coordinate with consulting units and related units to promptly complete the documents and report on investment policies for drainage infrastructure projects. This is the basis for implementing the next steps according to the requirements of the City People's Committee, ensuring compliance with the planning.
