On the afternoon of March 18, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena of Da Nang City held its fourth meeting.
The Steering Committee focuses on giving opinions on 3 groups of issues. Including the progress of handling cases and incidents of corruption and negativity under monitoring. Including the results of implementing inspection and audit conclusions associated with Conclusion No. 77 of the Politburo. Including the situation of implementing the recommendations of the State Audit and recovering assets in corruption, economic, and position-related cases.
The city has removed about 96% of obstacles related to land projects according to inspection conclusions and judgments. However, many large projects have only simplified procedures. Core bottlenecks still require time and synchronous solutions.
In the coming time, Da Nang will continue to accelerate the processing progress to unlock land resources. The city will also review, arrange, and rearrange headquarters and public assets. The focus is on projects affected by streamlining the apparatus and arranging administrative units.
City leaders said that they have developed a comprehensive review plan, classifying projects and works. The goal is to clearly identify management focal points, avoiding overlap. Through the review, many headquarters are being abandoned, causing prolonged waste.
Meanwhile, the demand for land for schools, cultural institutions, and green parks in many localities is still lacking. The slow putting public assets into use creates an imbalance of resources.
The Steering Committee requests sectors and localities to urgently develop specific handling plans for each case. Implementation must be strict and in accordance with regulations. At the same time, ensure no property loss and no negative developments.
The workload is assessed as large and complex. However, the requirement is to handle it thoroughly. This is a condition to improve the efficiency of public asset management and promote urban development.
