According to the Central Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, heavy rain is forecast for the next 24 to 48 hours, from tonight, November 15 to the end of November 17, in communes and wards in the plains and midlands, there will be heavy rain, very heavy rain, commonly 150-250mm, some places over 300mm; communes and wards in the southern mountainous areas will have heavy rain, very heavy rain, commonly 150-300mm, some places over 400mm.

Communes and wards in the northern mountainous region will have moderate rain, scattered heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain, commonly 80-150mm, some places over 200mm, during thunderstorms, beware of lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, heavy rain with an intensity of over 150mm/3h.

Warning from the night of November 17 to the end of the night of November 18, Da Nang city will continue to have heavy rain, very heavy rain, total rainfall is generally 80-200mm, some places over 300mm. From November 19, widespread heavy rain is likely to continue to occur in Da Nang city.

Forecasting the impact of heavy rain requires prevention of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas and urban areas. Beware of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Due to the influence of the strengthening cold air combined with disturbances in the high-altitude East wind zone, from the night of November 15, Da Nang city will have moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Potential impact on the environment, living conditions, infrastructure, socio-economic activities: Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect the operation of ships and other activities.

Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works, and infrastructure.

Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes; heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas and industrial parks.
