At about 11:20 a.m. on November 15 at the gathering place in Hoa Phu village, Phu Cat commune, Hanoi, a cage pipe crane was lifting an iron frame crane (a type of tower crane assembly) onto a car and tilted, then collapsed into a house next door. In the house, there are two children 8 and 11 years old who are having lunch, luckily they only suffered minor scratches.
At the scene, a level 4 house of about 100 square meters with a kitchen and bathroom collapsed. Each large piece of wall fell down, breaking many items such as washing machines, refrigerators, and bowls. The corrugated iron roof of the living room is punctured, the walls are cracked vertically. The water tank on the roof was crushed and fell into the yard, causing the drinking table and some household items to collapse.
At the gathering area, the crane overturned, the crane section was nearly 30m long, half lying on the roof of a house. The case is currently being investigated by Phu Cat Commune Police.
