On February 26, Hai Chau Ward People's Committee (Da Nang City) organized a meeting with fishermen at the beginning of Spring Binh Ngo 2026. At the meeting, 84 fishermen in Hai Chau ward were propagated and disseminated regulations on seafood fishing at sea.
Specifically, disseminate and propagate Decree No. 38/2024/ND-CP dated April 5, 2024 of the Government stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of fisheries.
Decision No. 277/QD-UBND dated October 14, 2025 of the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee on stipulating and guiding a number of contents for implementing policies to support fishermen in fishing and seafood exploitation services in distant sea areas... and a number of legal documents related to the work of combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing.
After listening to propaganda about the contents, 84 fishermen signed commitments to comply with the law when operating at sea, fishing and exploiting without encroaching on foreign waters and both exploiting and fishing seafood and participating in the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
In the coming time, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang port border gate will continue to coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to promote propaganda and dissemination to officials and fishermen of legal documents related to IUU and regulations when operating at sea, especially vehicles at risk of IUU violations and violations of foreign waters.
At the same time, he wished fishermen to continue to accompany and be an extended arm of the Border Guard in the cause of protecting sea and island sovereignty.
Promptly inform the situation of criminal activities as well as activities violating the sovereignty of our fishermen and foreign ships; the situation of security and order, natural disasters, and accidents at sea so that the Border Guard Command proactively advises local authorities at all levels to handle and support; unite to overcome all difficulties, stick to the sea for production, strictly comply with regulations on combating IUU fishing, and together with the whole country remove the yellow card for the Vietnamese seafood industry.
Also at the meeting, Hai Chau Ward People's Committee awarded 84 national flags, 84 gifts, each worth 550,000 VND, with a total value of more than 46 million VND.
