On June 7, the Military Command of An Khe Ward said that it had promptly controlled the fire that occurred at the end of Le Trong Tan street, ensuring safety for people and the surrounding forest area.
Accordingly, at about 9 am, after receiving a report from people about a fire occurring at the end of Le Trong Tan street, An Khe ward, with the risk of spreading to the adjacent forest area and surrounding residential areas, the Military Command of An Khe ward urgently deployed forces to the scene to grasp the situation.
At the time of the incident, the weather was hot and sunny, with strong winds, the fire area had complex terrain, thick smoke, and a potential risk of rapid fire spread.
Faced with the emergency situation, the Da Nang City Military Command directed the An Khe Ward Military Command to proactively advise the Party Committee and local authorities, mobilize local forces, closely coordinate with the Fire and Rescue Police force of the City Police, military units stationed in the area and functional forces to urgently control the fire.
Accordingly, the An Khe Ward Military Command mobilized 50 officers and soldiers to participate in the rescue; including 5 standing soldiers, 15 standing militia officers and 30 mobile militia officers.
Also participating in firefighting were 3 fire trucks of the City Police Fire and Rescue Police force, 1 fire truck of Regiment 282, Air Defense - Air Force Division 375, along with departments, branches, unions and functional forces in the area.
With a spirit of urgency and responsibility, the forces quickly deployed formations, coordinated to cordon off the fire area, create firebreaks, extinguish fire points, and prevent fire from spreading to the surrounding forest area.
By more than 11 am on the same day, the fire was basically under control, ensuring safety for people and property. After extinguishing the fire, the forces continued to maintain troops to inspect the scene, handle points with smoldering risks, and prevent fire from rekindling.
