The incident did not cause any casualties. However, 5 main offices on the 2nd floor were heavily burned, causing property damage inside. Four other rooms were also scorched by fire and heat.

Mr. Phan Trung Phi said that this is the working headquarters of the Party Committee, Mass Mobilization, Front and mass organizations of Thuong Duc commune. The number of documents burned is insignificant, mainly work files of the Front and the Veterans Association.

At the time of the fire, the headquarters had security guards on duty. Because the project has been used for a long time, functional agencies initially did not rule out the possibility that the incident originated from an electrical short circuit.

Police are examining the scene, statistics of damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
