Da Nang - Market management forces discovered a large number of fake handbags and sports shoes of many famous brands at 7 business establishments.

On April 10, Market Management Team No. 2, Da Nang City Market Management Sub-Department said that the unit had just discovered a large quantity of counterfeit branded goods at 7 business establishments in the area.

This is the result of a peak period of market inspection and control before and during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026.

Previously, Market Management Team No. 2 organized a surprise inspection of 7 business establishments showing signs of violation, including 2 establishments in Son Tra ward and 5 establishments in Hoi An ward.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered that these establishments were displaying and trading in counterfeit branded goods. Tangible evidence of violations included 295 counterfeit handbags of Gucci, Chanel, Hermès, Fendi brands and 27 pairs of counterfeit Nike branded sneakers.

The total value of the violating goods was determined to be nearly 178 million VND.

The inspection teams made a record of administrative violations, temporarily seized and sealed all exhibits. The case file is being completed to submit for promulgation a decision to sanction administrative violations against violating establishments, with a total amount of more than 215 million VND.
