The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches has just sent a document to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposing to strengthen propaganda and disseminate information about sightseeing and picnic activities in Son Tra Peninsula.
According to the Management Board, in the past time, sightseeing activities at Son Tra peninsula have developed strongly, attracting a large number of people and tourists. However, this is an area with rugged mountainous terrain, many cliffs, steep roads and directly affected by weather, waves and wind.
In fact, some unfortunate incidents have occurred such as getting lost, accidents, drowning,... due to arbitrarily moving into unlicensed areas and trails, especially in Huc Lo, Mui Nghe and Bai Da Den.
The document also clearly states that the tourist routes allowed to be exploited include Yet Kieu - Dinh Ban Co - Bai Bac route and Nga ba Bai Bac - Cay Da Heritage route. The Tien Sa - Suoi Om - Dinh Ban Co route is currently temporarily suspended to overcome the consequences after the storm and ensure safety for people and tourists.
Also according to the Management Board, the sightseeing time is regulated from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM in the period from March to the end of September and from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM in the remaining months. The sightseeing activity may be temporarily suspended when there is a dangerous weather warning.
The Management Board requests travel businesses, accommodation establishments and tour guides not to organize or introduce tourist routes and attractions outside the permitted scope; not to use spontaneous and illegal services. At the same time, review tourism programs to eliminate activities that may violate regulations on forest protection, wildlife and environment.
In addition, tourists are advised not to feed wild animals, not to contact or chase monkeys, not to litter, not to light fires, not to camp in unlicensed areas and absolutely not to arbitrarily approach cliffs, deep abysses or coastlines when the weather is bad.
Hotels, resorts and travel agencies are requested to proactively disseminate these recommendations. At the same time, promptly inform functional agencies when detecting activities or services showing signs of violation.
