On the afternoon of February 24, in the Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal area, Hoa Khanh ward, Da Nang city, forces of the City Military Command discovered, monitored and promptly temporarily detained 1 unmanned aerial vehicle (flycam) operating illegally in the no-fly zone, potentially posing a serious risk to civil aviation safety.

Specifically, at about 2 pm on the same day, during patrol and control of the area, functional forces of the City Military Command discovered Mr. Truong N.T (born in 1990, residing in Group 24, Hoa Khanh ward) controlling a flycam to fly into a restricted area. Through checking the vehicle and stored data, it was found that the subject had repeatedly used a flycam to operate illegally for many consecutive days, especially during the Binh Ngo Tet 2026, controlling the vehicle to enter the no-fly zone, potentially threatening flight safety at Da Nang International Airport.
At the scene, the functional forces of the City Military Command conducted propaganda, reminders, and explanations to make Mr. Truong N.T clearly aware of the act of violating the provisions of law on management and use of unmanned aerial vehicles according to Decree No. 282/2025/ND-CP of the Government. With the above act, the violating individual may be administratively fined from 30 to 40 million VND and have the vehicle confiscated according to Clause 11, Article 8, Decree 282. The Military Command of Hoa Khanh ward has made a record of temporarily seizing the illegal aerial vehicle, completed the dossier and handed it over to the Police agency for further handling according to their authority.
Previously, the situation of unlicensed unmanned aerial vehicles (flycams, UAVs) operating in the city was complicated, posing many risks of aviation unsafety, especially in coastal areas, residential areas near no-fly zones, and flight safety protection corridors.

Along with that, legal propaganda on the management and use of unmanned aerial vehicles is promoted to each residential area, flycam service business establishment and people, tourists; requiring commitments not to violate no-fly zones, restricted-fly zones. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness of law compliance, creating a deterrent effect, prevention from early on, from afar, ensuring absolute safety for flight operations in the city.
