Faced with the situation that unlicensed drones (flycams, UAVs) operate with a tendency to recur, posing a serious threat to civil aviation safety, the Military Command (CHQS) of Da Nang City is deploying synchronously and drastically many solutions to tighten management, strictly handle violations, and ensure absolute safety for flight operations at Da Nang International Airport.
From February 17 to 22, Da Nang International Airport received 3 reports from the flight crew about the discovery of a flying object suspected to be a flycam appearing in the no-fly zone, take-off and landing corridor.
Immediately after detecting the incidents, the City Military Command closely coordinated with the City Police and functional forces to urgently review, verify, and track down organizations and individuals controlling flycams to enter the no-fly zone; resolutely handle them strictly in accordance with the law.
The handling process is being deployed synchronously from detecting, zoning the area, collecting evidence to organizing forces to approach the scene, clarifying violators; thereby deterring and preventing in general, determined not to let acts of infringing on the flight safety corridor recur.
The City Military Command directs the Military Commands of wards, communes and relevant agencies and units to closely coordinate with the Police, Border Guards and functional forces to strengthen patrols and controls in key areas, especially the area adjacent to Da Nang airport, important national defense - security targets, areas where filming and taking photos from above activities often arise.

Units strictly maintain combat readiness duty, organize mobile forces, strengthen observation vehicles, UAV detection and suppression equipment; promptly detect, prevent, and thoroughly handle violations.
In parallel with inspection and handling work, the City Military Command also directed propaganda to organizations and individuals to absolutely not arbitrarily use unmanned aerial vehicles in airport areas, airports, defense - security works and areas within the scope of no-fly and restricted-fly zones.
It is requested that organizations and individuals, when detecting violations, immediately notify grassroots units to proactively grasp the situation and manage flycam users in the area; promptly detect and prevent violation risks early and remotely.
