One of the key traffic projects is the renovation and upgrading of National Highway 14B through the city (7.58km long, through Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Khuong communes, Hoa Vang district). With a total investment of more than 788 billion VND, the project is expected to be completed on April 30. The city is directing the focus on completing each section of the route to ensure progress. To date, the project has disbursed an estimated VND376 billion, of which VND108 billion is from the central budget and VND210 billion is from the city budget.
At the same time, the coastal road project connecting Lien Chieu Port is also being accelerated. With a total investment of VND 1,203 billion, the project started in September 2023 and has achieved a cumulative implementation volume of VND 452 billion by the end of 2024, exceeding the set plan. In 2025, the project was allocated 354 billion VND and up to now, the accumulated construction volume has reached 472 billion VND (39.2% of the total investment).
The Lien Chieu Port project, with a total investment of up to VND3,426 billion, is also ahead of schedule. Started in December 2022, the project has achieved a cumulative implementation volume of VND 1,940 billion, far exceeding the capital plan of VND 840 billion by the end of 2024. In 2025, the project will be allocated an additional VND 1,290 billion from the central budget.
In the health sector, the Lien Chieu District Medical Center Project (phase 2) with a total investment of 455 billion VND is being implemented to improve the quality of health care for people. The project was allocated 210 billion VND from the city budget in 2025 and has now reached an accumulated implementation volume of 145 billion VND (31.9% of the total investment).
And the project to renovate and supplement equipment for Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, with a total investment of 791 billion VND, is also being focused on. The project aims to improve facilities and the medical examination and treatment environment, ensuring fire safety, aiming for a scale of 2,000 hospital beds. To date, the project has completed 286 billion VND (36.2% of the total investment) and will be allocated 352 billion VND from the city budget in 2025.
