On June 15, the Military Command (CHQS) of Da Nang city said it is directing the urgent search for a Russian tourist missing at sea in Dien Ban Dong ward.

Accordingly, on the evening of June 14, in the Viem Dong beach area, Viem Dong neighborhood, Dien Ban Dong ward, an incident occurred where a Russian tourist went missing while walking along the coast.
According to initial information, the tourist family of 3 members stayed at a accommodation establishment on the coastal road in Viem Dong block.
After dinner, the father and daughter walked to Viêm Đông beach for a walk, the mother stayed in the room. During the movement, the daughter went first, because it was dark, the father behind was out of sight, could not keep up and lost track. After self-searching and searching around the sea area but without results, the family and accommodation establishment reported the incident to the functional forces.
Immediately after grasping the information, the Da Nang City Military Command directed the Dien Ban Dong Ward Military Command to closely coordinate with the local Party Committee, government and functional forces to urgently deploy a search and rescue plan; advise the Ward People's Committee to establish a local command center to unify command and operation of forces and vehicles.
The force participating in the search is nearly 100 people, including officers, standing militia of Dien Ban Dong Ward Military Command, police forces, soldiers of Fire and Rescue Team No. 7 and other forces and people.
The search work is directly commanded by Mr. Truong Anh Quoc, Vice Chairman of Dien Ban Dong Ward People's Committee. The forces are urgently reviewing along the coastal area, expanding the search scope, making efforts to search for victims as soon as possible; and regularly reporting the situation to the City Military Command for timely monitoring and direction.
