On February 19, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026, held its 17th session (special session). From there, through resolutions on the establishment of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and local socio-economic development.
Accordingly, after the establishment, merger, and termination of operations, the specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee includes 13 affiliated units including: Department of Home Affairs, Department of Justice, Department of Finance, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Provincial Inspectorate, Provincial People's Committee Office.
Notably, the delegates agreed to establish the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the basis that the Provincial Ethnic Committee received the original status of the Religious Committee under the Department of Home Affairs.
Dissolve the Department of Foreign Affairs, transfer the functions and tasks of the Department of Foreign Affairs to the Provincial People's Committee Office for implementation.
At the session, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council also passed a Resolution to end the activities of the Ethnic Committee of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. Next, transfer all tasks and powers of the Ethnic Committee to the Cultural - Social Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council.
