On the morning of November 6, in the Tu Nham area (Song Cau ward), which is forecast to be the focus of direct impact of storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi), the local government has vigorously implemented the relocation of all households from high tides and coastal temporary houses.
At 9am, the authorities began to organize enforcement for those who tried to stay, ensuring that no households would stay in the risk area before 10am.
In Tu Nham residential group, 40 households were forced to relocate, of which 15 households were taken to safe concentration points, the rest were evacuated to families with solid houses in the area.
During the rush, many people only had time to lock the doors and leave their belongings when the high tide started to rise.
Ms. Phan Thi Lien (Tu Nham residential group) said: "Now I just hope to be safe, because if big waves and big winds like this stay, it will be very dangerous".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Manh, living alone in a house near the sea, shared: "The police, soldiers, and militia came to help me tie up the house. Now it is raining heavily, the wind is strong, the house is close to the sea so it is very worrying.
I only brought a few clothes and necessary items to avoid the storm. As for the belongings, just leave the door locked, keeping your life is the main thing".
Along with the evacuation plan, Song Cau ward has prepared a centralized facility, clean food, water, medical team on duty and support forces 24/24 at the boat mooring area as well as the coastal residential area.
From early this morning, the authorities have requested that all cages at sea absolutely must not be left behind.
On the morning of November 6, a working group of provincial leaders led by Mr. Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee - was present at Tu Nham residential group to inspect high tide points, visit people in shelters and direct evacuation work.

Mr. Do Huu Huy affirmed: "We have directed local authorities to resolutely enforce and relocate people to the safest place for temporary residence.
Assets and houses will be handed over to the government for supervision and reinforcement to be able to cope with the storm".
