Dak Lak promotes each locality to build at least one new economic model

PHAN TUẤN |

Dak Lak assigned tasks to 102 communes and wards to attract investment and build at least one new economic model, contributing to creating growth momentum from the grassroots level.

Promoting investment attraction, improving people's lives

Recently, Phu Xuan Industrial Park has a scale of more than 313ha, with a total investment of 2,477 billion VND, implemented in 3 phases. This is a key industrial infrastructure project of the province, expected to create a clean land fund to attract investment, promote industrial development and local economic growth.

For phase 1 (66.33ha), compensation and site clearance work has been completed, and the site has been handed over for project implementation. After the groundbreaking ceremony, the progress of items has been accelerated. The investor sets a target to complete the entire infrastructure of phase 1 by the end of October 2026.

Regarding investment attraction, Mr. Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said that the policy of assigning tasks to attract investment and build new economic models for 102 communes and wards is identified as a strategic step to maximize internal resources from the grassroots level.

The province's biggest expectation is to create a synchronous and widespread development wave. In which, each commune and ward becomes a dynamic subject, proactively contributing to the overall development of the province.

According to Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy, grassroots government is the level closest to the people, and also the level closest to businesses. This helps localities better understand their needs, potentials and advantages to proactively connect and attract suitable investors.

When businesses come to invest, new economic models are formed, people will have more jobs, stable incomes and conditions to improve the quality of life.

Also according to Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy, if each commune and ward attracts at least one project or builds a new economic model, then with 102 communes and wards, the whole province will have hundreds of projects and hundreds of new development models.

The "tit tieu thanh dai" effect not only creates positive competition between localities but also contributes to forming a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable growth.

The province expects localities to proactively seek and propose projects suitable to the actual conditions and specific advantages. Thereby, contributing to diversifying the economic structure, improving the quality of growth and competitiveness of the local economy.

Focus on key growth drivers

Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that in order to realize the GRDP growth target of 10% or more in 2026, the province has identified focusing on promoting existing growth drivers including industry, construction; deep processing of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; along with tourism and services.

In the industrial sector, renewable energy, especially wind and solar power, is considered the most potential sector and will play a key role in the coming time.

In parallel with that, the province continues to encourage investment in deep-processing agricultural products and supporting industries to increase product value.

For the construction sector, the province prioritizes the development of a synchronous and modern transport infrastructure system. Key projects such as regional connection expressways, inter-commune and inter-village roads, and irrigation systems will continue to be promoted to expand development space, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen regional linkages.

In the field of deep processing of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, Dak Lak will take advantage of the abundant raw material resources such as coffee, durian, and pepper to attract investors to apply modern technology.

Thereby, creating products with high added value, meeting the needs of the domestic and export markets.

For tourism and services, the province orients the development of diverse types of ecotourism, cultural tourism, community tourism; and effectively exploits the values of intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO.

Dak Lak also aims to attract high-quality service projects, commercial centers and modern entertainment areas to meet the increasing needs of people and tourists.

Dak Lak's growth potential is still very large in the above-mentioned fields when the exploitation potential has not been fully exploited.

With a harmonious combination of traditional growth drivers and emerging drivers, Dak Lak is expected to complete its growth target, and gradually become an important growth pole of the Central Highlands region.
