Dak Nong before the historic moment
In the last working days before entering the historic moment of consolidation, leaders, civil servants, and workers in Dak Nong were still tirelessly completing the remaining work.
Accompanying cadres of departments, branches and localities, Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Ho Van Muoi encouraged each cadre in the new context to change their way of thinking, way of doing, change their actions to better serve the organization and the people.
Especially when Dak Nong is about to merge with Lam Dong and Binh Thuan.

According to Mr. Muoi, each cadre, civil servant, and employee must not think that they are only one-third of a unified body.
"We cannot work on the side, if we can't do it, we have to be willing to stand aside so that others have more capacity and responsibility to take on the job," Mr. Muoi emphasized.
Mr. Muoi's shares were summarized from his recent term when Dak Nong faced countless difficulties due to bauxite problems.
The whole province has about 2,396km2 (accounting for about 1/3 of the province's natural area) which has been assessed to have identified bauxite resources and reserves.
According to Plan 866, the total area of bauxite ore distribution area is more than 1,670km2, nearly 1/3 of the natural area of the whole province (accounting for 25%). In which, including residential land, agricultural land, traffic land, forest land... are stuck in the planning of bauxite mineral exploitation.
Therefore, since the beginning of 2023, the approval of investment policies and implementation of projects in the province has encountered many difficulties, even being stalled.
As a result, 1,062 projects with land use needs were affected, with a total area of about 6,692 hectares included in the bauxite exploitation planning.

Success comes from perseverance
Faced with that situation, the Dak Nong provincial leadership has made efforts to find solutions to resolve the issue. Mr. Ho Van Muoi shared that Dak Nong has persistently coordinated with the Central Government.
The province recommends directly through meetings, work, send indirect documents..., even invite central ministries and branches to the locality for surveys.
It is that persistent perseverance that has helped Dak Nong remove the problem of bauxite, which is also a bottleneck for the entire economic sector.
Central ministries and branches have listened, accompanied, and supported Dak Nong in gradually overcoming difficulties. Up to now, the problem of bauxite has been basically resolved, many projects have been started and restarted to reach the finish line.
The proof is that the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project has started construction, opening a major road for the locality to promote socio-economic development.
After many years of working as Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Ho Van Muoi said that one of the important factors helping the Provincial People's Committee to fulfill its tasks is the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Along with that is the effective support of the Standing Committee and the departments of the Provincial People's Council. Throughout the term, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Council have maintained regular coordination and high consensus on many important issues.
In particular, together evaluate what has been done and what has not been done, promptly resolve the shortcomings.
This is a vivid demonstration of the sense of responsibility, accompanying the common interests of the people. In addition, the operation of the Provincial People's Committee is also increasingly complete and effective.
Currently, Dak Nong is accelerating towards new goals. Many investors are looking to the locality, especially in the fields of mining, processing and industry. Thereby, bringing the province closer to the goal of becoming the country's aluminum industrial center.
Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee said that in recent times, the locality has made many efforts and actively implemented economic, social, cultural, educational, national security and defense tasks.
With the continuous efforts, determination of the Party Committee, consensus and support of the People, the locality has achieved many remarkable achievements and results.
In particular, as of 2024, the average income per capita of Dak Nong province will reach over 82 million VND/year, nearly double that of 2020.
Poverty reduction work has achieved good results, the poverty rate has decreased to 3.15%, leading the Central Highlands region and ranking in the top 10 nationwide in poverty reduction work.
