On October 26, Phu Quoc City Police held a conference to review the work of ensuring security and order in the city and implementing Plan 261 of Kien Giang Provincial Police on strengthening all aspects of administrative management of social order in the area.
In October 2024, the functional departments and Phu Quoc City Police deployed many measures to grasp the situation related to security and order in the city; posted and shared propaganda articles, fought and refuted false information and wrong views of hostile forces, reactionaries and bad elements. Ensured good security, order and safety of events and festivals.
Phu Quoc City Police have deployed and seriously implemented the directions of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Police on ensuring security and order, and performing all aspects of administrative management of social order. They have been proactive in grasping and managing the area and subjects; ensuring good political security and safety during forced land acquisition, overcoming consequences, and land acquisition for 8 households.
The Criminal Police Force regularly coordinates with the Commune and Ward Police to call, question, deter, educate, and require commitments not to violate the law from the subjects under its management. At the same time, it guides the Commune and Ward Police in reviewing, managing, and fighting against criminal gangs.
Continue to advise the Steering Committee for crime prevention, social evils and building a movement for the whole people to protect the security of the city's homeland to focus on implementing the Plan to manage and help people who have made mistakes in the community. Up to now, the implementation of Plan 261 has achieved and exceeded 5 targets; from the foundation of administrative management work, it has actively contributed to social prevention work.
Colonel Nguyen Van Han - Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police Department directed Phu Quoc City Police to continue to promote the sense of responsibility and coordinate with the provincial police departments and professional offices in ensuring security and order.
Maintain and improve the effectiveness of Patrol Team 108; strictly handle young people gathering late at night, causing insecurity and disorder, using weapons to resolve conflicts; focus on capturing wanted subjects, achieving assigned targets. Step up the creation of records to send subjects to educational facilities, reform schools, and drug rehabilitation facilities, contributing to cleaning up the area and preventing crimes from arising.
