In the early morning of September 8, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report of a fire at a business store at 176 Xuan Dieu, Tay Ho Ward.
Immediately afterwards, the Center mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of areas No. 14, 7, 8 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department) with 6 fire trucks and nearly 50 officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with the authorities, ward police and people to organize fire fighting. The leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department also directly commanded and mobilized 2 more command vehicles and 1 vehicle transport vehicle to the scene.
At the scene, the authorities determined that the fire area was a chain of shops including a restaurant, a motorbike repair shop, a metal and metal material store, electricity and water... temporarily built with a steel frame, corrugated iron roof, 1 floor high. The fire developed rapidly and was at risk of spreading due to the main flammable materials being oil and plastic.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force has urgently deployed attack teams, isolated areas, and prevented the fire from spreading; at the same time, exploited on-site water resources, coordinated with localities to mobilize excavators to demolish collapsed structures and water tanks to provide support and open a way for forces to approach and extinguish the fire.
Tay Ho Ward Police and civil defense forces also organized traffic flow, ensured security and order, and coordinated with the Fas Angle First noodle support team to support rescue work.
After nearly 1 hour of effort, at around 3am the same day, the fire was basically controlled, not allowing it to spread to the surrounding area. By 4am, the entire fire was extinguished, with a damaged area of about 150 square meters.
Property damage and the cause of the fire are being counted, investigated and clarified by the authorities according to regulations.
