Recently, residents living in Tu Ngan block, Dien Ban Dong ward sent a petition to the authorities to reflect on the shortcomings of the loudspeaker system in this area.
According to people's feedback, the situation of ward loudspeakers issuing too early (from 5:00 am to 6:00 am) with a very large volume has occurred for a long time. Notably, although the problem of loudspeakers has been fixed after previous complaints, the current volume shows signs of being larger, causing bright ear damage and seriously affecting sleep as well as the health of the elderly, children and workers who need to rest after work.
The reflection said: "Most workers do not need to listen to the radio at such an early time. Kinh requested the Ward People's Committee to inspect and thoroughly handle the following contents:
1. Adjust the broadcasting time, not broadcast before 06:00 am in the spirit of "not causing noise affecting the lives of residents".
2. Reduce loudspeaker volume, avoid causing bright ear and discomfort".
In addition to adjusting the time frame, people also requested the authorities to re-check the loudspeaker capacity to avoid the situation of too much noise causing discomfort within the crowded residential area.
Responding to this issue, the People's Committee of Dien Ban Dong Ward said that the Ward Radio Station currently plays the role of the main media, conveying the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies. According to the daily broadcast schedule, in the morning the system starts operating at 5:30 am to broadcast Da Nang Newspaper and Radio and Television, then the ward's program and broadcast by Voice of Vietnam at 6 am. The station also has broadcast time frames at noon from 11:30 am and in the afternoon from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Explaining the controversial volume, the representative of the local government said that the capacity of loudspeaker clusters is adjusted from 47% to 80% depending on the characteristics of each area. The Ward People's Committee believes that people hearing loudspeakers loud or small depends on the geographical location, households living near loudspeaker clusters will certainly be affected by stronger sound effects than those in remote areas.
In response to citizens' recommendations, the People's Committee of Dien Ban Dong Ward hopes that local people will understand, accompany and share the common propaganda task of the ward.
