List of 107 motorbikes fined for climbing the sidewalk in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - HCMC Traffic Police announced fines for 107 vehicle owners who drove on the sidewalk of Quang Trung and Nguyen Oanh streets.

The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police has just issued a notice on the results of handling violations through images for vehicles climbing the sidewalk on Quang Trung and Nguyen Oanh streets, Go Vap ward.

According to the assessment of the authorities, vehicles on the sidewalk not only spoil the urban beauty but also directly threaten the lives and health of pedestrians, especially those who are disadvantaged when participating in traffic. To completely resolve this situation, the Traffic Police force has regularly maintained and increased recording and fines, focusing especially on complex routes with frequent violations.

As a result, during the two peak days of December 18 and 22, the authorities extracted images, prepared records and sent notices of violations to 107 vehicle owners for the error of "going on the sidewalk".

The Traffic Police Department will continue to promote this form of penalty widely to ensure traffic order and safety and protect safe spaces for pedestrians across the city.
