The Thanh Hoa City Party Committee (new) has just issued Notice No. 3231-TB/TU dated January 2 announcing the list of heads and deputy heads of the Party Building Committees, the City Party Committee Office, the Political Center, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; and specialized departments under the new Thanh Hoa City People's Committee. Accordingly:
Previously, on January 1, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to establish Thanh Hoa City Party Committee and decisions on personnel work.
Mr. Le Anh Xuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee continues to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; The new Deputy Secretaries of the City Party Committee include Mr. Le Trong Thu, Mr. Le Anh Tuan, and Mr. Le Thanh Hai.
On January 1, at the first session of the Thanh Hoa City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term, Mr. Le Trong Thu - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term (previously Chairman of the Dong Son District People's Committee) was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The Vice Chairmen include Mr. Le Mai Khanh; Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung; Mr. Nguyen Van Hung.
Ms. Pham Thi Viet Nga stopped working as Vice Chairwoman of Thanh Hoa City People's Committee and transferred to become Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Board.
According to Resolution No. 1238/NQ-BTVQH15 dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2023-2025, the entire natural area of 82.87 km2, with a population of 101,272 people of Dong Son district, will be merged into Thanh Hoa city. Thanh Hoa city after the merger will start operating from January 1, 2025.
